Black queer and trans members of the queer community have always been leaders in the fights for LGBTQ2SIA+ rights and often have not seen reciprocal support or recognition from white, cis members of the community. A change is long overdue.

I am fundraising for the Black Trans Alliance specifically because it is black queer and trans led and because the tools being offered by this non-profit founded in 2020 range from a helpline to creating safe spaces to an urgent relief fund allowing it to support the black trans community in London at so many important levels.
